If you haven't already heard, the Charlottesville Downtown Mall is celebrating it's 50th birthday on July 3rd! There is a full schedule of events planned to celebrate and the Virginia Discovery Museum is joining in on the festivities with a series of lantern making workshops. Create your own festive lantern to be carried in the Downtown lantern parade on July 3rd.
