Back by Popular Demand, the Indie short Film Series which Launched the International Indie short Film Festival Returns to Vinegar Hill Theatre on July 25th”

On Saturday, July 25th, 7pm, at Vinegar Hill Theatre, 11 short films will be showing as the return of the popular film series which went on to launch the international International Indie short Film Festival founded in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Before there was a successful Indie short Film Festival, there was an Indie short Film Series. In 2019 the Series was founded featuring a monthly/every other month screening event that showcases a block of short films followed by a panel discussion with visiting filmmakers. Much of the lineup since its inception has screened at major festivals, including the Sundance Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival, and many others.

The goal of the Series has always been to provide a platform for independent filmmakers to share their art and stories. Due to popular demand, the event is returning to Charlottesville three times a year starting on July 25th.

The installment on July 25th will feature narrative live action and documentaries short films. FILMMAKERS will be invited to speak on a panel discussion immediately following the screenings.

Audience members will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite film to provide its filmmaker with the Audience Choice Award.
